Biography
Growing up, Charles Van Orden spent most of his time in Texas. He graduated with a B.A. in Political Science from Syracuse before obtaining his M.S. in Education from Syracuse as well. He then headed to Houston, where he graduated from South Texas College of Law. In 1979 he met and married his wife Debbie, with whom he has four children and four grandchildren. Charley spent 10 years as a prosecutor and then 11 years in private practice, where he became Board Certified in Family Law. In 2001 he was appointed as an Associate Judge in Bell County, where he spent 18 years on the bench.
Charley enjoys his time as a volunteer, both at the Houston Zoo and Abandoned Animal Rescue in Tomball. He especially enjoys spending time with his grandchildren and his two dogs, Milli and Bella. He is looking forward to becoming an active member of Thiessen Law Firm, and serving his clients by using his experience and knowledge to solve their complex legal problems.
