State v. E.C.

Harris County No.

12/09/13

Client left Proof bar with his friend. They went to friend’s car and friend poured cocaine on the armrest. Parking lot cop came to the window and friend wiped it all off against direction from the police. We put together a grand jury packet that showed all the reasons the coke wasn’t our clients, including a drug test that showed positive for MJ but negative for coke. Grand Jury did the right thing and cut us free. Gave client his life back and can’t wait to see what he accomplishes in this life. Thanks Grand Jury.

Texas v. C.F.

Harris County District Court 182nd

10/29/13

Client was driving his girlfriend over to her mother’s apartment with an acquaintance in the car. As the girlfriend went in to her mother’s apartment, the two males sat and waited in the car. Police patrolling the parking lot allege that as they drove by, two males ducked down. The officer then approached the car and smelled marijuana (THEY ALWAYS SAY THAT!!!). However, the Grand Jury got it right and realized there was no marijuana in the car, around the car, no paraphernalia, no roaches, no nothing. The police pulled the two gentlemen out of the car and searched a camera case that had methamphetamines in it. We kept the text messages from the passenger admitting to the drugs the next day. The Grand Jury did a wonderful duty and no billed this case. Thank you so much for giving this young man his life back.

Texas v. J.G.

Harris County No.

1/31/2013

Client was on her way home from a girl’s night out after picking up her child. A true DWI sped by her and got into a one vehicle crash. My client stopped and rushed to help the victim of the crash. When the police arrived, she admitted to drinking earlier that night and even submitted to a blood test. The test came back at a 0.03. However, the DA still accepted charges and was going to try and use Retrograde Extrapolation mumbo jumbo to prove she was intoxicated at the time of driving. Thank goodness this case landed in a reasonable court with reasonable DAs. Within two weeks we presented the case to the Grand Jury and they made the just decision to No Bill this case and give the client her life and family back.
